EOC W3 Tabacco Ad

--> This vintage advertisement is a clever one.  The advertisement shows a doctor smoking Camel brand cigarettes.  Of course people will assume that it’s okay if a Doctor is smoking these brands.  Although that is not what the advertisement is saying.  Of course cigarettes are not healthy for us and safe for our bodies. The advertising just wants you to feel more comfortable

·      Camel cigarettes are advertising their cigarettes with a doctor smoking them. The ad reads “More Doctors Smoke Camels than any other cigarette!”.
·       The setting is a Doctor sitting in his office with a white lab coat on.
·      The people and or groups in the ad is a Doctor.
·      The point of view of the advertisement is saying or portraying to is that if Doctors smoke this brand of cigarettes then they must not be bad for you.
·      The goal of the advertisement is to see that if the Doctor is smoking Camel brand cigarettes that they’ll think it’s okay and go ahead and buy them. 
·      The assumption is that people with buy Camel brand cigarettes if a Doctor is smoking them. They buyer  will assume it is okay because Doctors smoke the same brand.
·      The conflicts of the ad is people will assume Camel brand is “healthy”.
·      The outcome is that people will buy Camel brand cigarettes all because a Doctor/ Health professional is smoking this specific brand.
